To most people, what we call "Long Island" is a cross between a faceless suburb and an urban slum. That may be true for some, but it wasn't always so. And, in some places, if you look closely, you can still see the grandeur that was. Welcome to Lost Long Island! In the coming months, this site will open up the remnants of another time. While this site's focus will be more on the Nassau and Suffolk areas, you will see some Queens and even a few Brooklyn items.
